Lily: "You're a Trail Seeker now. Let's learn the Ranger ways together!"

This book is for Rangers aged about 8 to 10. Each chapter has three parts: 1. What Rangers know: the skills, in simple steps. 2. Ranger checklist: tick a box when you can do it. 3. Earn your badge: colour a heart when you can say the rule (❤️ Heart), and a bronze medal when you can show it (🥉 Bronze).

The Ranger Promise: I promise to stay with my crew, to be kind to everyone on every side, to ask a grown-up when I'm not sure, and to help where I can.

The Five Ranger Rules: 1. Stay together; stay with your grown-up. 2. Fire, hot and sharp things are a grown-up's job. 3. Stay on the path. See something strange? Stop, don't touch, go back, tell. 4. Safe water and clean hands, every day. 5. Big feelings are OK; talk to someone you trust.

A grown-up checks your badges. There are no tests and no scores. Every Ranger goes at their own speed.
